He was predeceased by: his siblings, Albert, John, Nelly, Riete, Annie and Leo.
He is survived by: his wife Joanne; his children, Cathy (Ugo Chiodo), Gerald Hamers (Colleen) and Connie Hamers; his grandchildren, Catrina (Tara), Alicia (Austin), Emma and Kate; his sister-in-law Sandra Kolsteren; and his extended family, Gidi Hamers, Sjef Kolsteren, Ben, Thea Kolsteren, Maja Kolsteren and Annie Kolsteren. He is also survived by family and his countless friends.
