He was predeceased by: his wife Yvonne; his grandson Luke Anderson; his parents, Peter Murdoch and Mabel Murdoch; and his siblings, Grace Mueller, Daniel Murdoch and Priscilla Gray.

He is survived by: his spouse Donna; his children, Alan (Cynthia), Mark (Jeannie Tighe), Shelley Anderson and Heather Lynch (David Crome); his grandchildren, Natasha (Aly), Sebastian (Grace), Chandra (Ryan), Taylor, Jaclynn, Matthew, Rachel (Charlie), Natalie and Claudia; his great grandchildren, Gabriel, Esme, Brynn and Violet; and his siblings, Margaret Tabb, William Murdoch and Florence Mantle. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
