He was predeceased by: his spouse Harmina (Minnie); and his brother Johannes. He is survived by: his children, William "Bill" Evers, Cathy Bubar (Brian) and Richard Evers (Amanda); and his siblings, Teunis, Jan and Adrianna Vanderwaal. He is also survived by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
