He was predeceased by: his spouse Betty Beers; his grandchild Craig; his parents, Gordon Beers and Ella Beers; and his siblings, Gloria, Ann and Bobby.

He is survived by: his children, Jim, Barry and Robyn (Wayne); his grandchildren, Tammy, Jessica and Jacob; his great grandchildren, Cameron and Mackenzie; and his sibling Mary McDow (Ted).
