He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Betty Mercer; his daughters, Wendy Maartense (Peter) and Karen McGarvey (Willy); his siblings, Greta Luxton, Bruce, Ross and Jack; and his siblings-in-law, Adele Nichols, Gary Cooper and Cheryl Parry (Rick).
