He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Wood. He is survived by: his children, Donna Newman (late Dale), Shirley Ladd and Barry Wood (Sherry); his siblings, Keith (late Helen), Ralph, Boyd (late Doreen) and Norah Hetherington (late Paul); and his sisters-in-law, Helen Graham and Wilma Scott. He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
