Diane Christine Thornton Obituary

After a brief illness, Diane passed away at Mount Sinai Hospital on Wednesday September 27th, 2017 Beloved wife and best friend of Robin Thornton. Mother to Tina Thornton, and grandmother to Nicole and Jessica Thornton. Daughter of the late Claire & Leo Blodgett and loved daughter in law of Ray & the late Winnifred Thornton. Diane was predeceased by her siblings, but will be sadly missed by Robin"s family: Carol (Jim) McGrath, Bud (Liz) Thornton, Faye (Ralph) Harrison, Ray (Jean) Thornton, Lu (Fred) Sass, Mike (Jo Anne) Thornton, Penny (Clay) Harnum, Mark (Heather) Thornton, Fern (Terry) Dunn, Tony Payne and Linda Thornton.

Her sister in law Wendy Payne and brother in law Lance Thornton have also predeceased her. Her many nieces, nephews and countless friends will never forget her. A Memorial Service will be held at Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, 53 Division Street Bowmanville on Wednesday October 4th at 1 pm. Visitation will be from 12 – 1 pm.
