He was predeceased by: his parent Joseph Penich; and his spouse Helma Penich (Gartner). He is survived by: his parent Barbara Penich; his children, Mike Penich Jr. (Christine), Steven Penich (Nancy), Barb Dinner (Chuck), Dan Penich (Grace) and Shelly Carson (Roy); his grandchildren, Shaneka (Tim), Jesse (Kristy), Jordon (Joanna), Dalton, Shane (Jackie), Stephanie (Mike), Joel, Elijah and Steve; his great grandchildren, Samantha, Lexi, J'Lynn and Madison; and his sibling Mary Freel (Lloyd).
