She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, David John Edwards and Cecilia Agnes Duquette; her husband Rodger Walter Sinclair; her sisters, Caroline, Evelyn and Lois; her nephew Lawrence; her daughter Evelyn; her daughter-in-law Rosalyn; her grandsons, Andrew and Bruce (Cynthia); her great grandchildren, Brandon (Evelin) and Zoey; and her great great grandchild Maximus.

After months in hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic, Dorothy eventually succumbed to her illness.
