He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Downie and Marie Downie (Quinton). He is survived by: his wife Lisa Downie (Lather); his daughters, Danielle Simpson (Brad) of Rodney and Diane Alexander (Jeremy) of Bothwell; his grandchildren, Brady, Thomas, Chase and Luke; his brothers, Ron Downie (Fran), Brian Downie (Jill) and Paul Downie; and his mother-in-law Dodie Lather. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
