He was predeceased by: his wife Catherine Ida Myrtle Pope; and his brother William Pope. He is survived by: his children, Teddy (Elizabeth), Gord (Carol), Larry (Debbi) and Kevin (Lisa); his grandchildren, Matthew, Mara, Sandra, Erin, Brent, Derek, Shannon, Kristy, Sheena, Alex, Alicia, David, James and Ashley; his great grandchildren, Farrah, Dakoda and Andie; his sister Lois McPhedran; and his nieces, Mary Lou, Janet and Margaret.

Due to the global pandemic, a private family graveside service will be held in Caledon East Public Cemetery.
