He was predeceased by: his wife Marlene Thorpe; and his siblings, Kenneth Thorpe, Joan Sinclair and Lorene Berry. He is survived by: his children, Melanie Thorpe, Amanda and David Shamess; his grandsons, Jeremy and Nathan Shamess; and his sister Judy Smith.
