She was predeceased by: her parents, Elizabeth Marguerite McGill (Wright) and James Roger Beverly McGill; her stepmother Kate; and her sisters, Myra Marguerite MacVicar (McGill), Alice Jean Purvis (McGill) and Lucille.
She is survived by: her brother Beverly John McGill (Jessie); her nieces and nephews, Douglas MacVicar, Marian Hughes (MacVicar), David Purvis and Helen McGill; and her sisters, Loretta Leonard, Yvonne Nearing, Barb Sherwin, Helen Vozza, Rose, Sisters Geraldine, Laureen, Beatrice Ann, Jeanne and Fenelon Court.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ruth's memory to The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada would be greatly appreciated.
