He was predeceased by: his siblings, Judy (Clinton) and Paul; and his parents, James and Elsie. He is survived by: his spouse Katie McIlmoyle; his children, Kari (Adam), Stacy (Leon) and Ryan (Crystal); his grandchildren, Caden, Lexon, Tayla, Meegan and Briannah; and his siblings, Gary (Ruth) and Marie (Merle).

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Peterborough Regional Health Centre.
