He was predeceased by: his sons, Keith, Kevin and Christopher; his sister Janet Blackburn (Noland); and his parents, Nora Frederick and Victor Frederick.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Frederick; his daughters, Kim Frederick Reid (Gord) and Paula Frederick (Greg); his grandchildren, Keith Reid (Deandra), Craig Reid, Elizabeth Gamsby (Ryan), Christopher Payne and Matthew Payne; his great grandchild Evie Gamsby; and his brothers, Gilbert, Harold (Joan) and Ralph (Reta).
