He was predeceased by : his parents, Olive Mace (Break) and Russell Mace; his sister Carol Beno (Ken); his brother-in-law Jerry (Roddy MacDonald); his daughter Wendy; and his son-in-law Bill Howes.

He is survived by : his wife Ruth (MacDonald); his daughter Debbie Howes (Ian Sinclair); his grandchildren, Jason Howes (Kristy), Jessie Harrington (Dustin), Daniel Howes (Kristina) and Dylan Howes (Maddie); his sister Marilyn Korhonen (Bob); his sister-in-law Sandy Miles (Reid); and his great grandchildren, Eden, Grady, Savannah Howes, William, Macie, Benjamin Howes, Tyler, Ellie Harrington and Finn Howes.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Teen Challenge (teen challenge.ca) or a charity of one's choice would be appreciated.

A candle has been lit

“The years we spent with Ron and Ruth our friends are unforgettable, so to say goodbye to Ron really breaks our hearts. To Ruth, Debbie, Ian, all the Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren we send our deepest sympathies. We know that Ron will be wrapped in the arms of Jesus, as we wish him eternal peace and may perpetual light shine on him forever. Elaine, Phillip and the Lue Family.”

“My memories of Ron are abundant and rich. From enjoying hot buttered corn and field tomatoes, indulging in chocolate milkshakes and making Christmas cakes in the big wooden bowl. I loved going to the mall at holiday times and Ron would stop and speak to many people. Giving his attention to everyone. He was kind, thoughtful, endearing and selfless. I love him immensely.”
