He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Counter and Jessie; his stepfather Clifford Horton; and his brother Jack. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Horton of Blind River; his children, Leonard Jr (Carol) and Lenora Greer (Andrew); and his siblings, Jacqueline, Barry, George and David. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
