He was predeceased by: his parent Helena Gallagher of South Porcupine; his wife Patricia; his sisters, Kathleen Gallagher, Mary Gauthier (Harold) and Betty Mogan; his mother-in-law Veronica Bowie; and his siblings-in-law, Bill Bowie (Dorothy), Peter Bowie (Kathleen), Joan Bowie and Barbara Stanley (Allan).

He is survived by: his parent Charles Gallagher of South Porcupine; his children, Bob Gallagher (Claudette), Anne Cavanagh (late Paul), Margaret Hodgson (Christopher) and John Gallagher (Wanda); his grandchildren, Paul John, Patrick, Katherine, Mark Cavanagh, Alysa, Trevor, Monica Hodgson, Corey Gallagher and Mariah Gallagher; his niece Deirdre Mogan; and his brothers-in-law, Donley Mogan and John Bowie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
