He was predeceased by: his parent James Holmes; and his sibling Robert of Chatham. He is survived by: his parent Olive Holmes; his spouse Marjorie Patricia "Midge"; his children, Kevin Holmes (Holly) of Amherstburg and Terry Holmes (Amy) of Windsor; his grandchildren, Joel (Rachel), Jesse (Christina), Karli (Mike), Matthew, Brittany and Alyssa; his great grandchildren, Elise, Adele and Maddie; and his siblings, Fred (Wendy) of Blenheim, Gord of Blenheim and Tom of Blenheim. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations made in memory of Bill may be made to the Blenheim Baptist Church.
