He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Mihalco and Stepan Mihalco; his sisters, Annie Lovecky (John), Margaret Muir and Mary Legue (Walt); and his sister-in-law Cheryle DeJager.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his children, Stephen Mihalco (Nicole), Scott Mihalco (Shelley) and Sally Mihalco; his grandchildren, Justin, Stephanie, Shai, Samantha, Spencer and Sierra; his great grandchild Luke; and his brothers-in-law, Frank Muir and Dennis DeJager (Janice). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
