He was predeceased by: his father Ken Coates; and his grandparents, Jean, George Verstraete, Doris and Max Coates.
He is survived by: his wife Tanya (Dobbie); his mother Geri Coates; his sister Crystal Sheppy (Dan); his friend Ben Coll; and also Sydney. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
