He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Nauta and Wietske Nauta (Houwink); his daughter Rose; and his siblings, Abe, Harry, Dick, Jake, Ronnie Timmermans, Joan Sonneveld and Diane Gracey.

He is survived by: his spouse Hermina (Lam); his children, Wendy Weesjes (Adrian), Evelyn Leistra (John), Jim (Janet), Marcia (Harry Vanderveen), Andy Boyd and Brisbane Australia; his grandchildren, Erica, Rachel, Julie, Nicholas (Laura), Alex (Sam), Lianna (Nicholas) and Matthew; his siblings, Ralph Nauta (Margaret), Clara Woudenburg (Hank), Hilda Berghuis, Catherine Verbeek and Ruth Oden; his siblings-in-law, Marie, Hilda, Lisa Nauta and John Timmermans; his cousin Corrie Blommers; and also Holland.
