He was predeceased by: his sister Phyllis Ellis; his mother-in-law Betty Allen; and his husband Vern Allen. He is survived by: his siblings, Linda Harry, Heather Pilatzke (Raymond), Carolyn Radford, John Radford (Brenda), Judi Pennanen (Lawrence) and Murray Radford (Lucy). He is also survived by four children.
