He was predeceased by: his sons-in-law, David Tomiszer and Kelly Elchuk. He is survived by: his wife Margaret (Carruthers); his daughter Elaine; his grandchildren, Kelsey Elchuk (Alex Foster) and Kyle Elchuk; his sister Marion Filshill (late Ian Filshill); his nephew Stewart Filshill; his niece Morag Ryan; and also Morag Jr. (Matthew Benesch).
