He was predeceased by: his sister Harriet De Jong. He is survived by: his wife Brenda; his children, Rick De Jong (Diana) and Suzanne De Vries (Matthew); his grandchildren, Cole, Noah, Marissa, Rachel, Jonah and Andrew; his siblings, Ed De Jong, John De Jong, Tess De Jong, James De Jong and Kathy De Jong; and his pet Ramar.

In Albert's memory, donations may be made to World Accord (It helps people living in extreme poverty in Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador).
