With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Douglas Groat of Belmont, Ontario, who passed away on November 1, 2020. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Groat. He is survived by: his children, Michael Groat (Cindy) of Bobcaygeon, Vickie Davis (Jeff) of St. Thomas, Steven Groat (Michelle) of Woodstock and Christine Bloetjes (Steve) of Dorchester; his grandchildren, Michelle (Dave), Neil, Jaclyn, Jeremy (JoAnn), Jason (Jacqui), Stephanie, Jessica (Detmer), Nicole and Shelley; his great grandchildren, Carson, Emelia, Cameron, Mason, Olivia, Chase, Daniel and Lucas; and his sister-in-law Marie Hartney. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Donations to the Belmont Community Park or Belmont United Church as expressions of sympathy would be appreciated by the family.
