It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Jean Bethune in Belmont, Ontario, born in Toronto, Ontario, who passed away on August 21, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Norman W. Bethune; her brother William Bell (Bill); her children, Wendy (David Bunston), Susan (David Bowlby), David (Cathy Ryan) and Anne (Michael Pezim); her grandchildren, Jamie (Emily Sorell), Brooke (Christopher McFarlane), Matt, Caitlyn, Scott, Bradley (Maria Milner), Zoé and Mitchell; her great grandchildren, Ellis and Olive; and her parents, Ethel M. Milnes and Gordon DeCou Bell. She was also cherished by mother, loyal friend.
