She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Boyce and Myrtle; and her son Christopher. She is survived by: her husband Philip Helyer; her children, Terry O'Brien, Kathy Kearney (Kevin), Michael O'Brien (Lynette LeBlanc) and Kim Cottingham (Ernie); and her siblings, Betty, Dale, Dawn, Len, Barry and Harry. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or a Humane Society of your choice in honour of Danny.

Danny was always a generous and happy friend. When we did get together it was like we were never apart from each other. Danny will certainly be missed, always so good at sending cards for a special occasion, I will miss that. Danny gained her wings now she flies with the Angels. RIP my dear friend.
