It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Susan Carol Read in Belleville, Ontario, who passed away on September 8, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Albion Gray Steadman and Katie Belle Anderson; and her siblings, Phyllis, Robert, Rupert and Shirley.

She is survived by: her husband Alan; her children, David Read and Jennifer Williams (Michael) of Guelph; her grandchildren, Luke, Cassidy and Colton; and her siblings-in-law, Carol Wood (Curtis), Mary Jane Estabrooks (Fred), George Read (Leslie) of New Brunswick and Irvine Read (Vivian) of Oshawa. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Susan's memory to the Humane Society Hastings and Prince Edward.
