He was predeceased by: his son Gordon Wightman; his grandson Matthew Leeder; and his sister Gail. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Wightman; his children, Wally and Karen (Elie); his grandchildren, Tarah, Stephanie (Joshua), Christina (Sam), Jordan (Tania), Taylor, Tyler, Alexandra (Alex James), Jacob and Faith; his great grandchildren, Bella, Lyric, Paisley and Lillian; and his sister Judy (Bill).
