He was predeceased by: his parents, Veronica Trudeau and John J. Trudeau; his wife Joan Agnes Trudeau; and his sisters, Doris Bunton (Albert), Jeanne O'Connor (Michael) and Cletus Plata (Edward).

He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth (Liz), Knuude (Mike), Joanne Trudeau (Mark Hamill) and John Trudeau Jr. Dear; his granddaughter Carolyn Knuude of Kingston; and his siblings, Mary Dinan (David), Cecelia Trudeau Loubert and Jamie Trudeau (Marilyn).
