He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Canon John R. and Florence Thompson; his wife Helen Patricia Thompson; his children, Julia, Eric, Jeremy and Nicola (Sharon); his grandchildren, Phoenix, Ezra, Broen and Keira; and his siblings, Dorothy and Rick.
