She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilfred Forestell and Mary Forestell (Ryan); her husband Harold McAvoy; her son Paul McAvoy; her granddaughter Jennifer Kleinsteuber; her great grandchild Benjamin Billing; her sister Margaret; and her siblings-in-law, Ted VandenAnker, Linus Downey and Elizabeth Forestell.
She is survived by: her children, Joanne McAvoy of Belleville, Kevin (Robin McAvoy), Elaine (Courtney McMurter) and Jane (Jim Billing); and her grandchildren, Bryan Kleinsteuber (Krista), Kyle Kleinsteuber, Patricia Shepherd (Justin Gannon), Paula McTaggart, Raye McAvoy (Mike Nobes), Jack McAvoy (Celeste Barsony), Corey McMurter (Brittany Knowlton), Haleigh McMurter (Jarid Beattie), Mathew Billing (Becca) and Taylor Billing. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
