He is survived by: his daughter Mary Lynne Forestell; his siblings, Madeline Downey and Gerrard Forestell (Joanne); and his friend Gertie Sproule. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Burke Funeral Home (150 Church St, Belleville, ON K8N3B9). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Church (169 N Park St, Belleville, ON K8P4P1). A burial was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 3:15 PM to 3:45 PM at the Sacred Heart Cemetery (349 St Lawrence St E, Madoc, ON K0K2K0).
