He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Hinze and Jessie Hinze; his wife Dorothea Jean Hinze (Goodfellow); his son Rodney Hinze (Carol Brett); and his siblings, Lois Storie (late Glen) and John (late June).

He is survived by: his daughter Cora McKay (late Bob); his grandchildren, Shawn McKay, Ryan McKay (Renee), Jeremy Hinze and Brad Hinze (Emma); his great grandchildren, Declan, Ava, Jackson and Parker; and his sister Gladys Parker (late Bill) of Peterborough. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.

If desired, memorial donations to the Belleville General Hospital Foundation Oncology Department would be greatly appreciated by the family.
