Don De Genova Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 11, 2025, at the age of 88, Don De Genova (Belleville, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Leona Marie (Brennan); and his parents, Vincenzo Genova and Carlotta De Genova (DiLalla). He is survived by: his children, Don De Genova Jr. (Chuck Mustard), Janet Coulas (Terry Coulas), John De Genova (Nina Birdi) and Debbie Ellerker; his grandchildren, Ryan Ellerker, Josh Coulas (Courtney Guest), Olivia De Genova (Eric Lebel) and Cassia De Genova; his great grandchildren, Caleb, Colby, Cooper and Azaea; his siblings, Pat DiGenova (Antoinette), Lena Lipartiti (Frank), Cecilia Tomaso (Pat), Mike DeGenova (Joan), Mary Burgess, Tony DeGenova, Kay Racette (Ray) and John DeGenova; his siblings-in-law, Elma Gee and Fred Brennan (Deanna); and his friend Quinte Gardens. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Burke Funeral Home (150 Church St, Belleville, ON K8N3B9). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Church (169 N Park St, Belleville, ON K8P4P1). A reception will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
In Lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the Humane Society Hastings Prince Edward, Belleville General Hospital Foundation, Tweed Public Library, or to a charity of your choice.
