She was predeceased by: her husband John Burling; her parents, Elmer Wannamaker and Irene Wannamaker; and her sisters, Judy Wannamaker and June Wannamaker.

She is survived by: her children, Bill Burling (Pamela), Karen Burling and Berna Dufoe (Sean); her great grandchildren, Kynsley Giroux, Atlas Giroux, Benjamin Dumais and Adalyne Giroux; and her siblings, Edward Wannamaker, Peg Gilbert, Joyce Mackey (Ron), Steven Wannamaker (Jean), Mary Panabaker (Peter), David Wannamaker (Crystal) and Grenda Porter (Ivan). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews, aunts and cousins.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Belleville General Hospital Foundation for the BGHF Love Locks Campaign in Carol's name.
