She is survived by: her grandchildren, Daniel, Luke, Jane Thwaits (Jacob), Matthew, Lauren (Steve), Michelle McMullen, J. R. (Kim) and Jason Whelan (Tasha); her great grandchildren, Dylan, Olivia Thwaits, Nicholas, Henry and Theo McMullen; her in-laws, Margaret Kvarda, Darla-Marie, Jim Whelan and Kay Harmon; and her family Bancroft.
Barbara was the proud recipient of the "Arts Recognition Award" from the City of Belleville for her long standing support and contribution to the community.
