Anna Maria Samples Obituary

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Anna Maria Samples of Belleville, Ontario, in her 69th year passed away peacefully in the arms of her beloved husband, Stuart on Mar 20, 2024 at Hospice Quinte, surrounded by family and friends. Anna was born in Toronto on Dec 22, 1955.
Anna grew up in Etobicoke and was a long term employee of George Brown College. She started at the College in 1981 where she was an Information Specialist. Her co-workers considered her an encyclopedia of knowledge which she regularly used to train new employees as well as help others.
Anna married Stuart in May 1982, and continued to live in Etobicoke for over 30 years. After 35 years at George Brown, Anna retired in 2016 and she and Stuart moved to Belleville, Ontario in 2017 to be closer to family and to enjoy their retirement.
Anna and Stuart loved to travel, which took them to England many times over the years, visiting relatives and exploring the British Isles. They also enjoyed many different locations throughout the US and Canada as part of their adventures.
Anna’s Christian faith was very important to her. She and Stuart were both regular attendees at Eastside Community Baptist Church (ECBC), where they worshipped and helped out in many ways. Anna will be remembered for her quiet sharing of love with a greeting, a hug or a kind word. They were also both very helpful with regular fellowship coffee time after the service and in helping to organize special events at the church.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Anna at Eastside Community Baptist Church on April 13th, 2024 with visitation from 10:30 to 11:30, with a service at 11:30 a.m. and luncheon to follow. The address is 68 Rollins Drive, Belleville, On K8N 4J4.
