He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy; his daughter Terri Quinlan; and his siblings, Gwendoline Argent (late Harold), Edward Dean (late Ruth), Donald Dean (Carol) and Bernard Dean (Irena).

He is survived by: his children, Betty Dean and Michael Dean; his grandchildren, Andrew, Amanda, Robert and Sarah; his great grandchild Sophia; and his siblings, Vera Brabant (late Ray), Margaret Abraham (Edward), Leonard Dean (Sandy), William Dean (late Laurel) and Patsy Desrosiers (Gord). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
