He was predeceased by: his son Kevin Marentette; his stepson Steve DeRoches; his parents, Herbert Marentette and Flora Rosa Marentette; and his siblings, Ray Marentette (late Betty), Bernard Marentette (Pierrette), Marguerite, Edgar (Beulah), Blanche, Rita, Isabel and Richard (Emma).

He is survived by: his wife Karen Marentette; his children, Deborah Marentette, Jay Marentette (Christine) and Shelley Mongelli; his stepsons, John DeRoches (June) and Ron DeRoches; his grandchildren, Sarah, Derek, Megan, Emilee, Faith, Hannah, Juliano and Crystal; and his pet Kenny.
