He was predeceased by: his wife Hilda Smith (Charles); his parents, Fred Smith and Ada Smith (Teer); his sister Doris Doherty (Tom); and his sister-in-law Isabel Heidrich (late Robert).
He is survived by: his sisters, Lorna Brethour (late Wim) and Joyce Lowery (Gerry). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
