He was predeceased by: his wife Doris "Dot" McClelland; his son Larry McClelland (Carolyn); his parents, Stephen McClelland and Sadie McClelland; and his siblings, Zeta Fisher, Gloria Coons, Veldon, Daryl and Guy McClelland.

He is survived by: his daughter Maureen Matthews (Don); his grandchildren, Jamie McClelland (Shannon), Sean McClelland (Melanie), Megan Matthews, Melanie Matthews (Byron Tripard), Monica McGinnis (Jeremy) and Marty Matthews; his sister-in-law Norma Pettigrew; and his niece Penny Farnel (Bruce). He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
