He was predeceased by: his wife Marjorie McBride; his son Bruce McBride; his daughter-in-law Sandy McBride; his sister Phylis Deichert; his brother-in-law Earl; his brother Keith McBride; his sister-in-law Elaine; his brothers, Hugh and John; and his parents, Roy McBride and Margaret McBride.

He is survived by: his children, Murray (Janice McBride), Ray (Sheila McBride), Garnet (Margaret McBride) and Ken (Nihad McBride); his great grandchildren, Samuel, Sarah Baker, Jenna, Hannah, Meaghan, Nathan Boyce, Hamish, Redmond Guthrie, Sophie, Alice Gidden, Jack, Wesley and Lucas McBride; his sister-in-law Mary McBride; and his daughter-in-law Jeannette Cormier. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
