He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Gale Thompson; his child Lacey Downing; his grandson Max Green; his father George Downing (Sandra) of Erinsville; his parents-in-law, Kenneth and Rita Thompson of Ingleside; his mother Phyllis Downing; and his brothers, Kevin Downing and Jeffrey Downing of Kingston. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews and extended family.
