He was predeceased by: his parents, David and Catherine; his stepfather Garfield; his brother David; and his father-in-law Earl.

He is survived by: his wife Kathryn 'Kate' (Hagerman); his sons, Mitchell (Molly Cote) and Tyler; his brothers, Ronald Reid (Joanne) and Thomas Reid (Brandy); his aunt Sharon Reid (Dave Marriott); his uncle William Amell; his cousin Gary Reid (Deb Rieger); his mother-in-law Barbara Hagerman; and also Bailey Reid.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the John M. Parrott Centre or UHKF (Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario) would be appreciated by the family.
