He was predeceased by: his parents, Murray McGuey and Leah McGuey. He is survived by: his wife Rachel McGuey; his daughters, Christina Szczygiel (Ryan), Melissa Craftchick (Preston) and Candace McGuey (Raymond); his siblings, Gail Yantha (Patrick), Linda Johnston (Kenny), Lawrence McGuey and Edward McGuey (Mary-Jane); his sister-in-law Maureen; his brother Morris; and his pet Tucker. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
