She was predeceased by: her husband Jack; and her sisters, Helen Young (John) and Marion McNeil (Dugger). She is survived by: her children, Paul De Young (Julie), Brad De Young (Terrice Bassler) and Jane Armstrong (late Carl); her grandchildren, Stacey (Ryan), David (Jamilya), Duncan (Sarah), Natasha (Erik), Hannah, Paul (Jaime) and Mary; and her great grandchildren, Benjamin and Rémy. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.

If desired, donations in Thelma's memory may be made to a charity of choice and are greatly appreciated by the family.
