It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Simon Koopmans (Barrie, Ontario), who passed away on April 13, 2020, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his sisters, Joyce Pypker (Ralph), Helen Paquet and Winnie Pypker (Ralph). He is survived by: his wife Dorothy; his children, Andrea Taylor (Brad) and David Koopmans (Laurie); his grandchildren, Hannah, Zachary, Grace, Lukas, Amelia, Chris (Brittany), Spencer and Jeremiah; his siblings, Elizabeth Koopmans, Walter Koopmans (Madeline), Clara Brouwer (Albert), Ralph Koopmans, Willy Bruinsma (Durk), Ray Koopmans (Linda) and Sid Koopmans (Judy); and his siblings-in-law, Jayne Stegeman (Ben), Lisa De Jong and Uultsje De Jong (Margie).
Due to the continuing Covid-19 pandemic restrictions, an intimate family graveside service will be held at Midhurst Union Cemetery.
Memorial donations to Mill Creek Care Centre would be appreciated.
