We are sad to announce that on March 7, 2025, at the age of 91, Sadie Cavelle (Abbott) Curtis (Barrie, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Calvin "Skipper" Curtis; her daughters, Judy Bonk (Harry) and Karen Gill (Kevin); her grandchildren, Robyn (Zane), Ashley, Karen (Steve), Maegan (Cristian) and Carly (Justin); her great grandchildren, Rachael, Calvin, Andrew, Jaxson, Aubrey, Noah, Aiden and Patrick; and her siblings, Marjorie Willis, Terry Abbott, Rose, Ida, Bessy, Edna and Walter. She was also cherished by extended family members and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Sadie's memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County (https://secure.alzheimeron.ca) and are greatly appreciated by the family.

“Aunt Sadie was a very special and caring person. I have fond memories of spending time with her in my youth in Toronto. She had a wonderful sense of humour and youthful spirit that made our get togethers very enjoyable. We had great conversations as she ironed and I sat on the basement steps. Her love and acceptance endeared her to me and she will always have a special place in my heart. Family members left behind have wonderful memories of her until we are reunited with her some day in Heaven.”
